Single mother Christina Milian prepares to celebrate first Christmas with baby Violet

She's been through her fair share of trouble over the past year, breaking up with husband The Dream while still pregnant with their child.
But it looks like things are definitely on the up for Christina Milian.
The singer was in New York City today promoting her made-for-TV movie Christmas Cupid at the Rock Center Café in Rockefeller Center.
Happy holidays! Christina Milian holds on to little daughter Violet Nash as she promotes her new film in New York today
Wearing a very plunging deep red dress, the 29-year-old glowed with health and happiness as she held little nine-month-old Violet Nash close.
And little Violet looked equally festive in a matching red dress and Santa hat.
Christina recently opened up about how she lost her baby weight so quickly after giving birth.
According to the star, breastfeeding and exercise helped her shed some of the 45 pounds she gained while pregnant with daughter Violet.
But she said the real secret to her weight loss was the help she got from her mother, Carmen.
She says: 'The first month, I lost weight drastically.
'On top of that, she cooked me a lot of raw vegetables and raw salads and proteins -- and it worked! I also drank a lot of water.'
Christina gave birth to daughter Violet Madison Nash in February, and soon after it was revealed she had already split from her husband of ten months.

Since his own divorce Peter Andre has worked hard at upholding a squeaky-clean, family man image.
But his wholesome reputation has been threatened as it emerged today that he will be named in the divorce of two television presenters.
The pop star exchanged 'hundreds' of flirtatious texts with The Gadget Show presenter Pollyanna Woodward after meeting her at a party in October, her angry husband has claimed.  Scandal: Peter Andre, seen here onstage in Newcastle last night, sent flirtatious texts to TV presenter Pollyanna Woodward

Lee Clark, who presents shows for QVC and the Discovery Channel, has given an explosive interview detailing the 'rampant' texts between his 28-year-old wife and Andre.
Just twelve days after meeting 37-year-old Andre at a Channel 5 party on October 30, beautiful Pollyanna demanded a divorce from her husband of one year.
Clark, who insists the couple had a 'blissful' marriage until she met the Mysterious Girl singer, discovered late night text messages between the pair, the News of the World reports.
One sent from Andre reads: ‘I’m lying in my 8ft bed alone. Bored. Wish you were here.’
Woodward replied: ‘I’m lying in my 6ft bed all alone too.
Clark uncovered email confirmations for a £50 chocolate gift from Hotel du Chocolat that his wife sent to the singer, as well as an order for a sexy tartan number from lingerie store Ann Summers - something he says she 'never' wore for him.

The 'A' Goal Celebration

We have seen footballers coming up with 'out-of-the-box' ideas to celebrate their joy at scoring a goal. We have seen them doing an aeroplane, a rocking baby, sucking thumb, kissing the wedding ring, boxing the corner flag, pointing to the sky, the firing rifle, the cartwheel, backflips, kissing the club badge and so on.
The most famous ones include the Klinsmann named after the player. He used to dive into the pitch with his arms and legs stretched. He had an unjustified reputation of diving to win penalties and free-kicks. Ravanelli used to pull his shirt over his head and run around the field. Roger Milla did his trademark dance near the corner-flag. Ronaldo does his signature "I told you so" waving of his index finger.
Recently, an increasing number of players have adopted a goal celebration where they appear to form the letter 'A' with two fingers from one hand pointing down and the index finger of the other hand forming the horizontal bit.
It stands for the A-Star, the brainchild of Fitz Hall, Andy Johnson, Kenneth Bonsu and Ronnie Wilson. It was set up to influence the lives of young people to open up pathways into employment through sport and other creative activities on a national scale.
The name was chosen as A-Star = Every child is a star which fits in with the government initiative "Every Child Matters"
The alarming death rate and the increasing problems of crime and violence among young people forced Ken and Fitz to do something. The result was "a unique company that hopes to offer real opportunities for young people with a wide ranging choice of activities to participate in and hopefully gain employment in a chosen field." says Fitz.
A-Star offers a chance for individuals to shine and showcase their hidden talents through the unique football tournaments A-Star have devised. The company website says,"Our aim is that young people will come away from the tournaments and activities with a sense of dignity and achievement to ultimately become role models in their own community, which falls directly inline with the independent Reach report which was commissioned by the Department for Communities and Local Government"
This project comes from the heart of the footballers themselves.
The players are featured in a promotional DVD that gives the viewer a glimpse of AStar. Emile Heskey, Micah Richards, Leighton Baines, and A-Star Co-Founder Fitz Hall to name but a few are fiercely committed to this cause
The initiative, and the positive message it's trying to promote, has been welcome in the footballing world and let us hope that they succeed in this venture
